What started as a small company with a unique line of inventive hydraulic products has flourished into a bustling, multi-million dollar, multi-service company whose client list includes the U.S. Navy, Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, National Guard and the U.S. Coast Guard, to name a few.

Clarus Technologies, LLC, (Clarus), is a SBA 8(a) ANC certified company based in Bellingham, Washington and Anchorage, Alaska. This KDC subsidiary has transformed itself from a small manufacturing company into a “go wherever the need is” fluid reprocessing and environmental consulting services company.

Fluid Reprocessing Division. Clarus’ reprocessing services include restoring a customer’s fluid products to a “better than new” condition at a cost that is lower than purchasing new fluid products, without disrupting a customer’s normal shop practices.

Clarus has invented several technologies to reprocess and flush hydraulic oil systems including high profile projects such as work at Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam project was very successful and non-disruptive, allowing the client to continue operating the Dam without interruption during the turbine oil reprocessing project. Success with these innovative procedures led to hydraulic service work on several Navy systems including aircraft elevators and diesel engine flushing. The Clarus process minimized the purchase of new fluids and has become the standard for many U.S. Navy hydraulic fluid reprocessing and flushing projects.

Environmental Services Division. Clarus’ other rapidly growing division is their professional environmental, engineering and consulting services based in Eagle River, Alaska, with offices on Kodiak Island and the Lower 48. The division assists its clients in environmental management, investigations and mitigation. Recently, the division was awarded a multi-million dollar contract with the Corps of Engineers for Military Munitions Response Site Investigations throughout Alaska. This division continues to grow with repeat clients and innovative approaches.

Manufacturing Division. Clarus’ Manufacturing Division is a well known name in the U.S. Army Pollution Prevention (“P2”) industry. Its product line continues to include its industry leading self-recycling Part Washing Stations and Weapon Cleaning Stations and the Oil-CAT, a fuel blending technology that blends used engine oil with diesel fuel for use in ground vehicles.
